Ministries and government agencies must name a coordinator of services for people with disabilities and send their contact info to the OPHQ.
The two independent reports on the law noted a high turnover rate among coordinators. These individuals didn’t have any decision-making authority in their organizations and didn’t have in-depth knowledge of disability issues.
Ministries and government agencies should have to post the contact information of their coordinators on their websites.
This obligation should also apply to municipalities and the private sector.
